Japanese brand Untold has released their 2009-2010 fall/winter collection for our viewing. The brand’s theme has often revolved around nice technical elements from performance 3-layer materials to paneled button-up shirts. All in all, the collection is quite comprehensive spanning outerwear, shirts, bottoms and accessories. This season also includes a small capsule of baby items. Unfortunately aside from sizing issues, the brand is quite hard to find outside of Japan.
It’s not easy being a Mos Def fan. In the decade since his exemplary solo debut, Black on Both Sides, he’s often either phoned it in or missed the mark entirely. His fourth album breaks that pattern with a decisive flourish. Mos is brimming with poetry again, hurling politically charged lyrics like lightning bolts against the thunderous beats behind him. Though his vigor falters toward the end, The Ecstatic remains by far his strongest, most deeply felt work in ages.
Right on schedule, iPhone OS 3.0 is now available. Apple took the wraps off the next major overhaul of its mobile OS on March 17th — iPhone OS 3.0 — and it’s a finally here. Besides adding oft-requested (and much needed) copy and paste functionality, the company also tacked on MMS, A2DP (stereo Bluetooth) support, peer-to-peer connectivity, unlocked Bluetooth support for the touch, and a brand new global search called Spotlight. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
