5:32 AM – 2.10.10.

Thanks for visiting.  Got a few updates for the followers out there.  For one it’s my senior year and I’m taking thesis this semester wooo!! but this isn’t just a moment for boasting on my part, this just means I’m looking to change up this Vs magazine project in a really big way.  The details aren’t fine tuned quite yet, but just know I’m looking to change the way information is viewed to provide a more enjoyable way to read about the things you care about.

Also I’m working to bring some more conceptual videos out, so look out for those soon.  The tandem of work, school, and internship is now in full effect for me, let’s see how this all plays out… Till next time.

Introspective Thoughts during Tragic Times (Earthquake in Haiti).

We live in a world where almost everything and anything is somewhat attainable. We indulge ourselves with pretentious objects, and often times forget that outside this bubble lies countries all over the world struggling, suffering, and hungry for change but may never see it.  Your struggle is waking up early on monday mornings… your frustration is the waiter not getting your order correct at a restaurant…when your hungry you can drive to the nearest fast food chain, swipe your card, and indulge in a hamburger, cheeseburger, whatever you choose.  The lens we look through life is staggeringly different from theirs.  We’re always reminded about the devastation of third world countries…the tragedy they go through, and we may even donate a few dollars, but it seems it never becomes REAL until you stare at it straight in the eyes.

I personally went to haiti during my high school years about 6 or 7 years ago and I realized first hand the conditions they live through.  Things never certain, broken government, economic corruption…it seems Haiti has always been a country in turmoil.  I’m just hoping you take a second and try to open your eyes and look a bit longer at things and be more appreciative of what you have, and more importantly…be grateful you have a path ahead of you that can lead you to much more. Personally as a college student I’m sometimes intimidated at the notion of graduating and school being…OVER…however that fear is now replaced with hope and appreciativeness and you should feel the same.

Think of those who loss their loved ones in this tragic time.  Think of those who lossed their homes that stood throughout generations.  Whether your directly affected or not by the events passed in Hati, we are all human beings and we can all relate to pain, and struggle.  Be thankful and give back.
